Induction Melting, Holding, Pouring and Heating Systems

Since 1896, Lodge has been making the cookware you love. We don’t just make iron; we make heirlooms that bring people together for generations.

Lodge Manufacturing produces a range of cast iron cookware and bakeware, including skillets, griddles, and dutch ovens. In 2002, Lodge developed a method to produce pre-seasoned cast iron cookware, which now accounts for the majority of its sales. Lodge has recently introduced a line of enamel-coated cast iron cookware.

Nestled alongside the Cumberland Plateau of the Appalachian Mountains is the town of South Pittsburg, Tennessee. It was here that Joseph Lodge and his wife settled and, in 1896 opened his first foundry. Originally named The Blacklock Foundry after Joseph Lodge’s friend and minister, the company gained success until May of 1910 when it burned down. Just three months later and a few blocks south, the company was reborn as Lodge Manufacturing Company. Lodge Manufacturing Company’s products include:

Seasoned Cast Iron:
Skillets & Covers, Deep Skillets, Grill Pans & Griddles,

Who We Are

OmniSource, LLC is one of North America’s largest processors and distributors of scrap and secondary metals. We collect, process, resell, and trade a wide variety of ferrous and nonferrous scrap. Our more than 50 U.S. scrap collection and processing facilities, including 11 operating shredders, provide the capacity to process 7 million tons of ferrous scrap annually, and more than a billion pounds of nonferrous metals.

Company Overview

Founded in Fort Wayne, IN in 1943, OmniSource, LLC has grown to become one of North America’s largest processors, distributors, and managers of scrap and secondary metals. We collect, process, and resell a wide variety of scrap metal. The company ships over 5 million gross tons of recycled steel and 1 billion pounds of nonferrous and stainless steel scrap annually.

Our primary collection and processing facilities are concentrated in the Midwest, the South, and the Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. But our reach stretches across North America, utilizing a wide-ranging fleet of trucks, containers, railcars, and barges to collect and haul metals. We expect to continue to expand OmniSource’s footprint, deploying our processing assets to cover new geographical territories, opening new facilities, and making targeted acquisitions.

Supplementing our company-operated scrap collection sites, we also acquire metals from industrial scrap generators with which we have established strategic partnerships. We have designed and installed customized metals-recycling programs, some of which we manage and operate, for manufacturing companies nationwide.

Our national brokerage and trading operations serve both metals buyers and sellers, providing the market intelligence and insights needed to optimize transaction value.

OmniSource was acquired in 2007 by Steel Dynamics, Inc., and operates independently as a wholly owned subsidiary.

Who We Are

Look beneath the surface and you’ll see all that Commercial Metals Company offers — Strength. Integrity. Dependability.

That’s not just a description of our products, but also our people. Sure, CMC steel forms the backbone of our modern infrastructure just about everywhere you look. Our rebar can be found in countless structures, from AT&T Stadium in Dallas to the Pentagon to essential highways, bridges and buildings all over the world. And CMC merchant bar is a vital component in conveyors that move goods, truck trailers that deliver products and Humvees that protect soldiers wherever they’re called to serve.

But at CMC, we also work hard to build something far more important — lasting relationships.

The kind of partnerships that keep our customers returning to us time and again for their most important and challenging projects. Over the years, it’s been said that “steel is just in our blood.” We take that as the highest compliment. To us, it means we care about the products we make, the folks we make them for, and the world we all share — right down to our core:

• Metal Recycling
• Fabrication
• Mill Products
• Fence Posts
• Performance Steel
• Construction Services

WE USE 100% RECYCLED STEEL

By recycling over 18 billion pounds of metal every year, we turn non-useful scrap into new,
sustainable steel products.

WE USE 80% LESS ENERGY THAN TRADITIONAL STEELMAKING

CMC constantly monitors energy consumption and looks for ways to further improve
efficiency while lowering emissions.

WE PRODUCE 60% LESS CO2 PER TON OF STEEL

The industry averages 1.83 metric tons of CO2 per ton of steel. CMC’s EAF technology allows
us to average below 0.721 metric tons of CO2 per ton of steel.
